Network milestones included over 19,000 4G sites, achieving 98.98% population coverage. As the first operator to launch 5G in Bangladesh, Robi is diligently working to build the eco-system for expansion of 5G service.

Commenting on Robi’s performance in 2025, it’s Managing Director and CEO, Ziad Shatara said: “Despite continued slide in voice revenue, Robi managed to register positive revenue growth thanks to robust growth in data revenue driven by sizable addition of data and 4G users and increased data usage per user.

Sustained high inflation and challenging macro-economic conditions limited subscriber spending, moderating our revenue growth. Additionally, contributions of 62% of revenue to the Government exchequer—through various taxes—underscore an excessively burdensome tax regime impeding industry progress. Nevertheless, with nearly 70% of active subscribers being 4G users, we believe Robi is clearly emerging as the natural first choice for the digitally savvy users in the country.

Robi’s operational excellence agenda was the cornerstone of financial resilience, enabling the company to raise profitability amid challenging revenue environment. Complementing operational excellence, Robi applied disciplined capital allocation to ensure network investments directly supported demand growth, service quality, and long-term efficiency.

Having deployed additional 4G sites to our network located in 40 districts of the country, we have significantly enhanced our network coverage in the underserved markets.”
