Green University of Bangladesh Hosts Fourth Edition of ITD 2025 Conference

The international conference ‘Innovation and Transformation for Development (ITD 2025)’ kicks off today at the permanent campus of Green University of Bangladesh, launching one of the country’s key academic platforms for global research exchange and sustainable development dialogue. The two-day event was inaugurated this morning and brings together scholars, researchers, and experts from home and abroad to advance knowledge, innovation, and practical solutions for emerging economies.

Organized by the Green University Bangladesh for the fourth consecutive year, ITD 2025 focuses on knowledge, research, sustainable business, and intellectual advancement. The theme for this year is “Advancing Sustainable Business and Law: Integrating Environment, Society and Governance in Emerging Economies.” The conference brings together researchers from Bangladesh, the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Malaysia, and India, who will present insights on environmental sustainability, law, human rights, corporate governance, artificial intelligence ethics, innovation, and the future of sustainable development.

The opening ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Md. Mohammad Shorif Uddin, Vice Chancellor of Green University of Bangladesh, as the chief guest, and Prof. Dr. Nakib Muhammad Nasrullah, Vice Chancellor of Islamic University, Kushtia, as the special guest.

Prof. Dr. Md. Mohammad Shorif Uddin highlighted the importance of international collaboration, stating that” “Building on the success of previous ITD conferences, ITD 2025 provides a major platform for our students and researchers to showcase their ideas and innovations. By encouraging international cooperation, this conference plays a vital role in advancing research, sustainable development, and building a truly knowledge-based society.”

Professor Dr. Nakib Muhammad Nasrullah emphasized the relevance of integrating environmental, societal, and governance considerations in emerging economies, noting that “the research and discussions presented here will positively influence future policies, education, and business decisions.”

Since its inception in 2021, the ITD conference has aimed to foster an intellectual generation through research and innovation. Papers presented at previous editions have been published in different Scopus indexed journals, underlining the conference’s commitment to high-quality scholarly contributions. As in past years, awards will be given to the authors of the best-selected research papers.

This year, the conference received 192 research paper submissions, both domestic and international, of which 113 have been selected for presentation. Awards will be presented to authors of the best-selected papers, continuing the tradition of recognizing outstanding research contributions.
