Norah Global Media has announced the opening of “Canvas 2025,” a month-long international group art exhibition showcasing painting, mixed media and photography at The Harlem Renaissance Gallery in New York. The exhibition will run from December 1 to December 31, 2025, and will be open daily from 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Admission is free for all visitors.
Canvas 2025 brings together artists from diverse cultural and creative backgrounds, presenting a wide spectrum of contemporary artistic expressions. The exhibition features works in watercolour, acrylic, mixed media, cyanotype print and ink compositions, offering audiences an intimate view of personal narratives and global perspectives through visual art.
On the opening day, Attorney Raju Mahajan, Esq., CEO of Norah Global Media, delivered the inaugural remarks, expressing gratitude to the artists and the organizing team. He praised the artistic journeys of several participating artists, noting his long-standing admiration for Sunil Sukla’s paintings and Ishrat Jahan’s work, as well as his respect for Chandan Roy Chowdhury as a senior from Dhaka University. He also highlighted the thoughtful detail in Dr. Mohiuddin Kawsar’s artwork. Mahajan stated that the idea for hosting an international exhibition like Canvas 2025 had been in development for a long time and that months of dedicated teamwork had made the vision a reality.
Participating artist Kanak Aditya shared insights into his featured work Flow and Flora, explaining that his art is inspired by travel and close observation of nature. He described how memories of trees, hills and lakes encountered during his journeys come together in his paintings as visual recollections of lived experiences.
Artist Mohiuddin Kawsar reflected on his creative process, describing his work as a convergence of emotion, memory and imagination. He noted that his use of color and form represents an inner world that sometimes appears structured like cities and at other times flows freely like open fields. For him, art is a journey of freedom, self-discovery and expression beyond words.
The exhibition features works by Sunil Sukla, Ishrat Jahan, Kanak Aditya, Md. Robiul Islam, Mamun Hossain, Chandan Roy Chowdhury, Mohiuddin Kawsar, Md. Zahid Hossain, Jarin Bose, Upoma Das Trina, Resh Rahman, Nargis Punam, Jolly Ahmed, Mehedi Hasan and Zemrina Haque.
According to the organizers, The Harlem Renaissance Gallery, a cultural initiative of Norah Global Media, is committed to promoting global artistic excellence. Through curated exhibitions and collaborative programs, the gallery aims to amplify diverse artistic voices and foster cross-cultural exchange. Canvas 2025 stands as another step toward strengthening international dialogue through contemporary art.
