The Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) organized a knowledge-sharing meeting aimed at building a sustainable and resilient agricultural system. The event focused on climate-resilient agricultural technologies and the expansion of multi-harvest rice cultivation.

The meeting, titled “Technology-based Income Generation for Farmers,” was chaired by Zakir Ahmed Khan. Md Fazlul Kader moderated the session, while renowned geneticist Dr Abed Chaudhury delivered the keynote presentation. Among others, Dr Manzoor Ahmed and agricultural scientist Dr Shaikh Tanveer Hossain also spoke at the event.

The speakers stressed that ensuring food security requires sustainable soil fertility management, the development of high-yielding and climate-resilient crop varieties, and their rapid adoption at the field level. They highlighted that PKSF plays a vital role in strengthening farmers’ capacity and improving agricultural productivity through climate-resilient technologies and innovative initiatives across the country.

They also noted that more than 50% of agricultural financing in Bangladesh is facilitated by PKSF’s partner organizations.

Under its Strategic Plan 2025–2030, PKSF is implementing a wide range of initiatives, including export-oriented value addition, agro-processing, sustainable technology transfer, climate-resilient farming, improved market access for farmers, resource-efficient agricultural practices, and the promotion of agro-ecological farming to protect the environment.

Officials from various levels of PKSF were present at the meeting.
