Bangladesh National Team and Leicester City F.C. star Hamza Choudhury has become the Brand Ambassador of Robi Axiata PLC. The announcement was made today (Tuesday, 11 November) at a press conference held at Robi’s Corporate Office in Dhaka.
The event was attended by Ziad Shatara, Managing Director & CEO, Robi Axiata PLC; football star Hamza Choudhury; Shihab Ahmad, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO); and Shahed Alam, Chief Corporate and Regulatory Officer (CCRO), among others.
A product of the Leicester City Academy, Choudhury made his English Premier League debut in 2017 against Tottenham Hotspur. He was also part of Leicester City’s FA Cup–winning squad. He played for Sheffield United on loan during the 2024-25 season.
Hamza Choudhury is the first footballer to represent Bangladesh with prior experience playing in the English Premier League. Since making his debut for the Bangladesh national team in March this year, his performances have brought renewed excitement and optimism among fans of Bangladeshi football.
Born in 1997 in Leicestershire, United Kingdom, Hamza’s family roots trace back to Bahubal in Habiganj district under the Sylhet division.
