The feature does not require a SIM signal or a data connection, allowing two UltraLink-enabled devices to establish a direct phone-to-phone connection.
According to Infinix’s in-house lab testing, the HOT 70 Pro 5G achieved a maximum tested UltraLink range of 1.5 kilometres in an open environment with a clear line of sight between the devices. The actual range may vary depending on the surroundings and other conditions.
The technology can be useful in situations where conventional network coverage is limited or unavailable. Trekkers moving through areas beyond coverage, travellers exploring unfamiliar places, or friends and family members moving in different directions can use a direct connection between compatible devices to stay in touch.
Rather than waiting for a mobile network to become available, UltraLink allows supported devices to establish their own direct link within its available range. Beyond calls, the feature also allows compatible users to send text messages and transfer images directly between devices, making it useful for sharing updates and moments while staying connected.
UltraLink is available across the HOT 70 Series, NOTE 60 Series, and Smart 20, bringing the technology to a wider range of users.
